Account Manager

As an Account Manager your primary responsibility is to become the sales point-of contact for all mid-sized and large accounts, selling NGX Storage’s products and services to new and existing customers, while maintaining and improving on-going relationships with the customers. Your overall focus areas will be developing business, developing proposals for presentation to customers, responding to request for proposals , and selling our Products and Services.

Storage background is a must, with 2-3 years minimum sales and business development experience. Cloud and bigdata-specific Sales background a plus. Highly-competitive, uncapped earning potential in a fun, fast-paced, close-knit & collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive satisfied customers while maintaining an accurate forecast and working with multiple channel partners
  • Create value-based sales proposals to prospective decision makers
  • Develop an account strategy and customer contact plan for owned accounts
  • Prepare and present demonstrations to potential customers
  • Maintain contacts at both executive and admin level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship
  • Manage and assist in proof of concept evaluations
  • Develop strategies and orchestrate company resources to maximize collaboration within assigned accounts and help them achieve their corporate and personal objectives
  • Work closely with our partners and internal support, product and engineering teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a different degree plus relevant experience is preferred.
  • Min 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the storage industry specifically: Fibre Channel, NFS, and Enterprise Storage architectures
  • Networking and file protocol experience: TCP/IP, CIFS/SMB, NFS, AFP, iSCSI, HTTP, FTP
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers
  • Proven ability to leverage marketing investments, channel community, and own prospecting efforts to build well qualified pipeline
  • Prospecting proven track record of penetrating accounts, reaching decision-makers and closing business
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Good command of English
  • No military service obligation for the male candidates
  • No obstacle for traveling

Something Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience with backup, data protection, and DR software
  • Understanding Replication, De-duplication, Snapshot/Backup etc
  • Experience with Hadoop, Cloud Stack, Open Stack, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix etc
  • Experience in performance analysis of enterprise storage systems
  • Knowledge of Virtual Server environments and RDBMS/OLTP
